John Yates
The Rev. Dr. John W. Yates II is the Senior Minister at The Falls Church, Virginia, a large evangelical church outside of Washington, DC with about 3500 members. He has served churches in New Jersey, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania prior to joining The Falls Church in 1979.
Along with his wife Susan, John has much experience as a speaker and teacher on the challenges of raising a family in an increasingly secular world. He has a particular interest in teaching and discipling men and his book, "How a Man Prays for His Family", is a down-to-earth encouragement to men to grow in a life of personal prayer. With Susan, he co-authored "Character Matters", focusing on matters of parental modeling and raising faithful and responsible children. John’s other books include "For the Life of the Family" and "Seven Crucial Moments". Most recently he has co-authored with his family, "A Home Full of Grace", and "Building a Home Full of Grace".
