Who is St. Andrew’s?

What we think you should know about us...

St. Andrew’s is a community that celebrates diversity – both among ourselves and in the world we live in. We range in age from newborn to over 90, with an average age around 34. A few of us have attended St. Andrew’s since childhood and have raised our own children here. Many others are new to the city or the neighborhood and have found a home at St. Andrew’s.

At St. Andrew’s you are invited to join a community that works toward the extension of God’s Kingdom around the world; who are committed to truth, justice and mercy; who listen to God’s Word; who feed the poor and take in the lost.

Real People

We come from every church tradition – Baptists, Catholics, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Non-Denomers . . . While others of us didn't attend church at all as children and are surprised to find ourselves encountering God through the organized church. We turn up each week filled both with questions and with hope, knowing that what we will find at St. Andrew’s will be authentic and provocative. Celebrations and sermons are rooted both in the ancient faith and in the real world, the spirit is joyful and fun, the congregation is warm and welcoming, and best of all, Jesus is present!

Real Life

St. Andrew’s unique spirit extends into the surrounding neighborhoods through our commitment to helping others. We currently dedicate one-third of our income to outreach – and we’re aiming for half! Vibrant ministries have been established into just about every area of community life.

We hope that you will join the conversation and lives of those gathered at the table who’ve come seeking connection and support as we grow in grace, faith, and community involvement.
