The people of St. Andrew's are the heart of our theology school. Our Lifegroups, many different ministries, and other associated communities also make it an ideal place for “the rubber to meet to the road.” The local church is the base for mission into the world. Learners study the kind of practical theology and skills which are so necessary if the church is to flourish into the future.
Students here don’t learn to acquire knowledge. They learn practical theology and skills in order to put them to use in their own lives, proclaiming and demonstrating the Kingdom of God wherever they are sent. The school aims to articulate, develop and teach a theology that is true to its Anglican, evangelical, charismatic roots, yet also embraces the best of orthodox, classical theology throughout the church worldwide, whether Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Pentecostal or more.

A famous 19th century British pastor once remarked “I find the Bible a honeycomb, which hardly needs to be pressed to let the drops of honey run out; it is so sweet and precious to my taste that I wish I could sit down and feast on my Bible forever.” Though the sentiment is beautiful and true for many Christians, for others the Bible remains an intimidating morass of complex ancient writings that bear little relevance to modern life.
How do we unlock this diverse collection of writings, which contain sixty-six different books written by over forty authors over nearly 2,000 years? While this course cannot promise the untying of every knot in Scripture, you will upon completing this course significantly improve in your ability to navigate the Bible with confidence. More than that, you may even find that the Bible becomes to you what it became to the aforementioned pastor, a “honeycomb, which hardly needs to be pressed.”
