Hello Young Adults!
Being a young adult seems like a mixed blessing sometimes, doesn't it? On the plus side, at least we're not old! But on the negative, it sometimes feels like we don't have a voice or an opportunity to make a difference. That's the reason the Young Adult Ministry at St. Andrew's exists...because we feel that young adults can make an incredible impact for Christ!

What is a Young Adult?
This question gets asked a lot. More specifically, what age range do I need to be in to be a part of this ministry?
To answer that question, I'd like to ask you a question: Do you fit this description?
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Be diligent in these matters; give youself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers" -1 Timothy 4:12, 15-16
The Young Adult Ministry is shaped more by a heart attitude and hunger for the Lord than it is by what year you were born. However, I'd like to think that if you enjoy either the Teletubbies or evenings of Bingo, the Young Adult Ministry may not be for you.
What's it all about?
Too many times we make faith about having Heaven Insurance. But the truth is, if we call Jesus Christ our Lord, then we should be seeing "His Kingdom come" in and around our lives all the time.
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says" (James 1:22). I love these words from James because it's just that simple. I'm tired of faith being a hypothetical. I'm tired of reading about miracles and not seeing them. I'm tired of my faith being so 'neat'.
