The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

Prayer and Healing at St. Andrew’s
Many times in life we find ourselves experiencing emotional, spiritual, or physical upheaval. It has often been said, "The church is a hospital, a family, an army, and a school." As the body of Christ, St. Andrew’s purposefully co-labors with Jesus as a hospital, tending to broken places by coming alongside people to bring Jesus' care and healing love. If you find yourself struggling with an addiction, depression, or an unbearable grief; if you are hurting spiritually, in need of physical healing, or struggling with any other difficult sufferings, this page will tell you what help St. Andrew’s has to offer and how to find that help.

St. Andrew’s Community through LifeGroups
Jesus said, "In this life you will have trouble." Everyone goes through times of intense struggles and suffering. As a church, we are intentional about encouraging everyone to be involved in a small group so that when, not if, you face a difficult life situation, you will have the love, care, and prayer support you need. LifeGroups at St. Andrew’s are diverse communities of people who want to grow as followers of Jesus and experience the blessing that God bestows when His followers are relationally transparent and choose to live life together.
In the church lobby you will find literature available with information about our LifeGroups at St. Andrew’s. Additionally you may contact Brian Morgan, (843.284.4346 or email Brian) our LifeGroup pastor for more information.
Face-2-Face
Every Wednesday evening at 6.30 pm we gather together in the Ministry Center to worship God and seek the presence of the Holy Spirit. Realizing the importance of saturating our lives and ministries in the church with the presence and power of the Spirit, this service provides an opportunity for us to be freshly filled with the Spirit's presence and to pray for one another in His power. The night consists of three elements - a time of worship, a short teaching on some aspect of the Spirit-empowered life, and an extended time of ministry. We invite the Holy Spirit to come and minister to us spontaneously throughout the entire service with prophetic revelations, words of knowledge, gifts of tongues and other spiritual gifts. During the ministry time, there is an opportunity for people to respond for various forms of healing, deliverance and a fresh touch of God's presence in their lives. This service is for anyone inside or outside the church wanting or needing more of God.
Power Ministry
At every Celebration (worship service) we offer prayer ministry as we seek to connect each prayer recipient to the presence and power of Jesus Christ. Our power ministry teams are trained in prayer and in listening to the Lord. Individuals with every need and condition are encouraged to receive from the Lord all that He has to give to them.
If you would like to join the Power Ministry team you may contact John Burley (843.284.4326 or email John).
Ananias Prayer
Prayer for inner healing and healing of memories
Ananias Prayer was established as a ministry of St. Andrew’s for those who need a deeper touch of the Holy Spirit for life issues relating to grief, addictions, emotional wounds, habitual destructive life patterns, etc. Our Ananias Prayer team members have received extensive training and are gifted at coming along side those who are hurting and seeking freedom. As an extension of pastoral care, our goal is to help people achieve wholeness in all aspects of their lives. We believe this is accomplished by helping people break free from areas of sin thereby releasing God's healing power to work on their behalf. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please contact Dot Shad (email Dot).
Soaking Prayer Ministry
God continues to heal and restore the sick and injured whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Sometimes, He heals people quickly but just as often healing comes slowly through many prayer sessions - as we are soaked in prayer. Prayer teams, who have been trained in soaking prayer, are available in the prayer room every Friday from 9.00 - 10.00 AM, and, every Saturday from 10.00 - 11.00 AM. The prayer room is located on the Third Floor of the Ministry Center through the hallway behind the arches. To learn more about soaking prayer, or to become involved in this ministry, please contact Beth Lewis (email Beth).
Prophetic Ministry
We are currently developing our prophetic prayer team ministry. As of today this ministry meets weekly to seek the Lord’s direction on needs/issues within the congregation which are then shared at our weekly Celebrations during our “Announcements from God” time. Our desire is that your faith is built and hope imparted as these words are shared with the congregation and individuals have opportunity to respond by receiving prayer from our Power Ministry prayer teams. To learn more about the prophetic ministry at St. Andrew's, please contact Becky Kerr (email Becky).
Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Intercessory prayer happens when we gather together in prayer before the Lord. To intercede means to ask God for something on someone's behalf: praying for His will to come - His Kingdom to come in the lives of our families, friends and city, etc. We host a variety of intercessory prayer groups at St. Andrew’s, from groups that pray for our weekend Celebration services to groups that pray for our ministries and missions to our regular Monday meetings of general intercession. Two of these groups may be of particular interest to you:
Wellspring
Before, during and after each Celebration service we have intercessors in the skybox and balcony interceeding for every aspect of the service and congregation. Contact: Pat Harvin (email Pat).
Prayer Chain
Do you like to pray but are unable to particpate in scheduled meetings? You can join your prayers to other intercessors by receiving an emailed prayer list keeping you informed of the needs and developments within our church and community. Send an email to Prayer@WeAreStAndrews.com to join the list or to send a prayer request.
Prayer Requests
Do you have a need you would like the intercessory team to pray for? Send an email to the Prayer Chain to have your name and need listed on our prayer list.
